Blogs and why nobody reads them.

An odd title for somebody’s first blog!! But it is true, nobody reads these things. And theres no reason they would, blogs are simply the outlet of people who believe that their opinion matters to other people, and indeed it often does but due to the accessibility of ones own websites, there are too many websites out there. Also, many blogs, similarly to feature articles in a newspaper, descend to opinionated rants. Some people use blogs as a sort of diary, a bizarre idea when one thinks about it, the web is no place to open ones soul up to, in no less way than it is to open ones credit card details to the public.

Of course it would be hypocritical not to apply these critiques to my own motives for this blog. My reason for opening a blog is simple. Something to put on a cv!!! Or resumé (for any non existant American readers). A website offering a job I would have loved to apply for claimed that a regular blog would be preferable. I don’t see the logic behind that personally, it takes very little effort or talent. But I’m a slave to fashion i suppose.
